I hope you don't mind if i ask a related question here. On a Uniden 396XT, what are the proper settings to scan trunked systems in Open Mode as described above?

While I'm at it...wild card TG? How do I do that?

If it helps, here are the trunked systems I'm looking at:
FCI 900, Inc. Trunking System, Rochester, New York - Scanner Frequencies
Flower City Communications (Rochester) Trunking System, Rochester, New York - Scanner Frequencies
Genesee Business Radio #1 Trunking System, Rochester, New York - Scanner Frequencies
Mobiletech Communications Corp. Trunking System, Canandaigua, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies

(Hopefully this is not hijacking the thread)

Being that this is about a Pro-164, it can be considered a hijack;) But, I'll try to answer your question before it is moved to the Uniden Forum. There is no Wildcard TG in the 396XT. I believe that if you want to find new TG's, you will have to scan the system in question by doing a SEARCH instead of scanning the programmed TG's. I will be asking the forums moderators to move this to the correct forum so that you can get your questions answered properly.
