407 ETR employees have to perform maintenance on the equipment boxes located on the on/off ramps. Those 270 degree ramps are dug in to the dirt with the excess piled up on either side of the ramp. PassPort coverage has always been horrible in those "canyons", even with Ballantrae, Toronto, Brampton and Oshawa on line. One of the worst locations I encountered was the eastbound onramp at Neyagawa - it's a big hole.ve3nsv said:Actually the Passport mobile coverage is still quite good right to the 404 and I am sure was rock solid when Fleetcom was on board with the Ballantrae site.
lol...I don't plan on jamming it ! I've never used the 407 since it opened (I ain't payin' t'drive on it), actually when it did open, it was free for two weeks and I did use it daily going to/from work because the on/off ramp was right behind us. It took me 5 min less driving time but 10 km longer (one way) in distance. I didn't want the quicker wear and tear on my tires on concrete and after the two week period I never drove on it again. I graduated high school in 1986 and there was a popular slogan back then "407 in '87".plaws said:That's the transponder frequency. Same used for most of the others, i.e. I-Pass on Illinois Tollways. Since the Illinois I-Pass is part of EZ-Pass, I assume those are all on 915 MHz as well.
When you figure out how to jam it the account isn't charged, please let us know.

I found problems even on the main roadway; with some valleys, you'd lose your current site and the roaming took too long to find another site. The ETR folks were unimpressed and ended up sticking with Telus.

So, you most likely won't find the Roadside Assistance guys from 407 ETR using any monitorable radios.
How about you tell us the freq.'s ABRAMS Towing uses ?
