Yes my frequency may be off a bit.
Using SDR and it may have not warmed up yet.
Will check the frequency again and correct it.

I am slightly out of town, very close to highway 417 and exit 96.

Short but interesting comms, so just wondering if anyone else can hear them.
Thanks.

Mike.

Edit: Very weak at my location.

At first, I was thinking Ministry of Community Safety and Correction Service.

They are 411.8875 but the tone is 141.3 PL

I have a feeling you must be correct

I just calibrated my SDR USB to the pilot frequency of local digital TV transmissions .(488.310 For example) and it is extremely close.

I have a feeling you must be correct as Ministry of Community Safety and Correction Service.
Perhaps it is the local location on Innes Road?

The PL Tone

Not sure, however I am monitoring it now and will send the PL tone I see on the next transmission now that I am on the correct frequency.

Could be OCDC. I notice that the Central North DC in Penetanguishene uses a 127.3 PL so maybe there are other tones used around the province.

More transmissions and the tone is 192.8.
When in town I will listen when close to the location and report.
However, I believe that MCIUPA is probably correct due to the content I am hearing.

A shift in freq will not affect the PL tone. Think of the tone as the color of a car. The car stays the same color no matter haw fast its driving. The same applies for a slight shift in freq as long as the car is in the lane you will hear the signal. The more you get from the actual freq the worse it will get until it is so bad the unit cannot recognize it.
