With the UHF-T mandate being abolished, and the TETRA system buildout being delayed (and possibly abandoned) due to finances, I've been monitoring this system from my location by Midway. Decoding is pretty good, and have been noting many previously unlisted talkgroups, awaiting confirmation of usage as I normally do.

This system is only being used by O'Hare Operations and MTD's (Motor Truck Drivers) which are responsible for the yellow vehicles seen in and around the airport. Operations is based in an old abandoned control tower, and you might hear reference to "The Ops Tower".

I'll make an attempt to properly text tag talkgroups as I hear them, since I suspect this system has potential to be around longer than expected. Their is also a possibility of consolidating to the P25 800 Mhz. system in the future too?

Not to hijack the thread, but is MDW's T-band system still online? I recently programmed both MDW and ORD's T-Band systems into my BCD436HP and I'm not getting a signal from the MDW system.

Snow event was good time to catch some new talkgroups. My decode rate is about 90% from my location by Midway and was able to catch alot of activity. Talkgroups march out every 16 increments up until 720 which I haven't heard anything above that so far. I'm up to around 20 talkgroups in use, most snow operations..brooms, de-icers. They are using "borders" for snow operations, it sounds like they're specific to runways.

Radio ID's are all over the place for the AMC and Operations dispatching. I do see a common pattern, but many radios are in use and assigned to specific channels. Like Midway, they monitor all the channels during weather/emergency events. I have documented some, but it's quite a task.
