Can anyone tell me how to set the screen to stay on all of the time SDS100

Glad this was mentioned. I've never set mine to display only when squelch opens when not charging, but I will now. Hopefully the battery lasts longer with it set this way.

It will take 750mA with the display constantly on and 700mA with it always off and having it squelch controlled will depend of how much activity there are. Usually 700mA will give 7 hour of use and 750mA 6,5 hours and with squelch control 6,75 hours with a 50% activity time. So no point for battery save reasons to have the display being squelch controlled as the rest of the scanner are so power hungry.

Thanks, wasn't sure whether it would make much difference. It's only powered up when I feel like listening to it and I turn it off when I'm done. Just wondered about it.
