i think i've mis-stated the part i need. apologies for that and the extra postings.

i purchased my 106 many years ago but haven't used it much until now. i thought a belt clip slipped into the holder on the back of the case. i'm now thinking that a plastic button is what actually fits there and that is what slips into the belt clip.

Same non-swivel clip fits the RS Pro-106 and the GRE and Whistler versions, as well as the TRX-1.

I don’t remember the part number, but there is a Motorola pager clip that I used on my GRE Psr500. There is a hole in the top of the spring. A 4:40 screw from inside the case into the hole holds it in place. Far more sturdy than the original plastic clip. See this post by me: Replacement Psr800 Belt clip
The post references using the same clip for the 500 and 800, has the part number.

Attaching the Belt Clip
To carry your scanner, slide the
supplied belt clip down on the back
of the scanner. To remove the belt
clip, pull the tab out and slide the
clip upward
