451.1875 151.4 in Hamilton

I have for the past month been trying to pin this down to who this. I have been hearding a lot about being off campus and security type related talk. I have a suspection that this could be another frequency for McMaster U but at the moment I am not 100% sure. Anyways can help me with this?

I have checked the TAFl before for that frequency. I know it's not Cadillac Fairview (Limeridge Mall) as they use 186.2 for their PL and I am way too far from them. I doubt it's the Sheraton Hotel as I am too far from them. I am still yet to find their tone and if they use this frequency or not. MVD Properties (Commerce Place) I am still looking for their tone as well but I have yet to find it. But this doesn't sound like it belongs to them as they are an office tower downtown. The Hamilton East Community Centre is too far away. This could be Lagarge Slag but again it doesn't sound like it's them. Stelco now it might be but as all their other frequencies that I know of use a PL of 151.4 and I can hear them from the apartment. I just heard something a second ago about going to the Newsroom so I am still baffled what this could be.

It could but me that is way up on the mountain and I am near downtown. It doesn't sound like a city wide operation or a frequency that needs a lot of power. It just way too strong to think that is them and I hear them only in this part town.

Since you're downtown, Matt...I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that it's the Sheraton. Lafarge is located at the end of Woodward Ave near Beach Bvld...a long way from downtown. Just a guess, though.

I am not sure about that.. I have an itching that it may be an unlisted frequency for McMaster or possible it could belong to Stelco as I hear their other frquencies from the apartment.

It seems to ring a bell for McMaster. It's one of those lpu type frequencies that a lot of people pop up on.

I was thinking the Art Gallery on Campus but I'd have to check my old records.

That would make sense if it was the Art Gallery as they already have a 412.xxxx mhz frequency for security among a couple other frequencies for the student union ppl, parking and maintenance.

I have an inkling that this is Stelco. I was listening to this frequency the past couple days and the language used, every sentence there is some type of swear word used. It doesn't sound like the talk that a regular channel if you know what I mean.

How about Mohawk College in Hamilton? Any chance it could be them (references
to campus). They have some UHF frequencies close to the one you are hearing.

I am pretty sure it is not them either. I already have 2 frequencies for their security people. I can hear Mohawk from here and what I am hearing on 451.1875 doesn't sound like what I hear on Mohawk's frequency.
