So, I've had just about every Uniden scanner going back to the HP-1, the 536, the 996, and years ago the Radio Shack Pro2006, and many, many more.
But age, frustration, encryption, and time, all have played a part in making it more difficult for me.
So recently I obtained the SDS200E...and although I've been slowly learning its features and functions, it's a plethora of information to cram into my brain.
I'm absolutely certain that analogies could be many to compare, but nonetheless, it's a challenge, for me anyway.
So, to accelerate my knowledge and enjoyment, I'm curious to know if there is anyone in the local area where I live (Metuchen, NJ, and/or surrounding area(s) ) that would be willing to share some .hpe files for me to play with, out of the box, ready to run, interpret, study and enrich my knowledge.
Although I've done a lot of testing and creation of my own favorites, etc., I'm sure that I may be missing some critical settings to enhance the use and listening enjoyment.

Does anyone wanna share?

You have an SDS200E and you live in US? Why? Isn’t it going to be missing some bands of frequencies that you’ll need? Or maybe it’s that you’ll be able to receive frequencies that are prohibited by FCC.
It just gets more, not less :)
As per a posting here:
The SDS200 does not support 869.0001Mhz and above frequencies due to FCC regulations, while the SDS200E does support these efficient 869Mhz frequencies which are so important to this specific P25 system

The SDS200 (no idea on SDS200e) does not come with any systems programmed.

The SDS200e is not legal in the US due to it not being FCC certified because of the frequency bands it covers.

That doesn't mean there aren't European models here, but most (if not all) European stores won't ship to the US.

Weird. No trunked system in the US has ever been on freqs above 869.0001, unless you’re referencing the 900 mHz LMR band (which the non-E version receives).

Understood. I’m not sure if .hpe files are interchangeable between the E and non-E version.

Anyway, good luck.
It does not matter, all is the same, with the exception of getting the 869Mhz freq. And I may be incorrect in referencing .hpe instead of .hpd. Hopefully, it is understood by those who own and use it.

I may have missed it, but if you have not already done so, I would suggest you go to the New Jersey forum here on the board to find someone close by who can help. It's a great radio, but does require some patience.
