OK, here's one I've been trying to figure out on many visits over the years to Williamsburg. It's a repeater, and definitely coming from the west side of town. It's some kind of hotel or timeshare, as there are many housekeeping requests for various rooms.

I think it may be Marriott's Manor Club (a timeshare), as I heard them mention a "Governor's Manor" the last time I heard it. (A search for "Governor's Manor" turned up the Manor Club.) By the way, the Manor Club is in Ford's Colony.

Could those of you in the Williamsburg area keep an ear on this one, and let us know what you hear? Thanks.

My database shows two unlicensed operations for Williamsburg. One is for the Marriott and the other Busch Gardens(HT)(expired). I would say it's Marriott. I never had a callsign for Marriott but I do show a lat/long probably from an earlier pending license application. Something subsequently must have happened as no callsign appears in the FCC database.

These frequencies are from an old list:

464.475 - Williamsburg Marriott
464.775 - Williamsburg Marriott

However, the Williamsburg Marriott is located at 50 Kingsmill Road, Williamsburg, Virginia
This hotel is very close to Busch Gardens on the east side of Williamsburg (near the intersection of Rt 199 and Rt 60).

As you stated, the Marriott's Manor Club is in Ford's Colony which, as you know, is on the west side of Williamsburg.

The license for the Williamsburg Marriott (Kingsmill) is WPHH745. However, 464.475 is not listed as a frequency.

I'll monitor the frequency and try to figure out which location is broadcasting on 464.475 mHz

edit: I checked some of the frequencies I have in my 996T. The Kngsmill Marriott is using 464.8250. However, it is not using a CTCSS but a DCS of 464.

After a little research, I found this reference to the Governor's Manor in a review for the Marriott's Manor Club at Ford's Colony:

"We stayed in the Governor's Manor which was the building right next to the lobby - they probably fill each manor up before they move on to the next manor"

Sounds like you were correct in assuming it was the Marriott's Manor Club.

That's the same reference to the Governor's Manor I found. That's why I guessed Manor Club, especially since the repeater is on the west side of town.

Thanks for monitoring the frequency.

I did a geosearch through the FCC database using the coordinates for the Manor Club. The only frequencies discovered were 453.000 mHz for Fords Colony and 464.675 Mhz for the Ford's Colony Golf Course. However, I have not heard anything from my house on those frequencies or on 464.4750. I may be too far from the transmitters. If nothing is heard in the near future, I park in the lot of the hotel with close call enabled.

Your mystery is solved. It is the Marriott's Manor Club. I took a field trip to Ford's Colony and picked up the signal several miles away. As I got closer, the signal strength grew stronger until if was full scale at the gate to the Manor Club. They were talking about service works in several buildings and rooms. As you observed, the CTCSS is 100.
