I was mobile in Torrington today and received a close call hit on 469.825. I held it on. It was digital (I have all three upgrades on SDS-200),
No decoded audio, sounded like two stations as they were of varying signal strengths. A Trinity BLS unit was 2 cars behind me
on Rt 202 and E Main st. The database shows this freq as Sacred Heart Univ Fairfield Co. I doubt very much it was them. Ideas?

About 30 air miles from Hartford. None of those inputs came up in my rr search by frq/state. Thanks but none would be receivable mobile from Torrington. The Bristol Envir Learning is the closest, but I would not be hearing 4w HT's 2 slot DMR as they would not CC Hit as this did.

469.825 is licensed to the city of Torrington, with the public works director as the contact. So it's something to do with Torrington DPW if I had to make an educated guess.

Interesting thanks. I'll ask locally and see what may have been put in. I couldn't find it when I checked the FCC site and RR db still has them on 151.xxx Did it say what emission mode ?

Water telemetry. Emissions designator of 11K0F1D and 15 watts. You were hearing Torrington Water data.
Repeater licensed for the water treatment plant. There may be a provision for voice, but I will put money on it being what I said.

Thanks Mike. It had the hiss sound of data and was very strong. I've never heard it before in town and CC isn't very good (it stinks AFAIC) compared to the 536 I previously had in the car. So it's data on an analog channel. No wonder I got the CC hit. Reminds me of how annoying the Modat on our Manhattan dispatch channel we had years ago in NYC*EMS. I tried to use a modat.mp3 of it in my phone for text notifications but it kept setting off my PTSD
