This morning I got a close call hit while in the area of Katonah on 482.7125MHz. The users were recording grid locations as if they were recording how well they were receiving signals. The initial transmissions I heard this morning were them giving locations as they drove up the Bronx River Parkway from White Plains to the Kensico Dam (it sounded like they were not familiar with the area because they mobile unit commented back to the base about getting their bearings and commenting on the size of the Dam). This afternoon I heard them commenting about Route 9 in the Peekskill area and some streets in Buchanan. After this the mobile reported they were done for today having recorded over 400 grids. The base then commented that a Google search of their location showed an hour and a half trip back to "QES". It sounded like they would be doing somemore testing tomorrow, but from the conversation they were ahead of schedule with the recording of the grids.
The only licenses I could find for the area appear to be for NYPD http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/General_Me...ortstring=,+lic_name,+file_num&limit_select=4 with sites at Bedford Hills, Peekskill, Valhalla, and North Salem.
