536HP Battery - RTC

What year are the 2 you bought the number after the Z?
4 = 2014
5 = 2015
6 = 2016
7 = 2017

my original 536HP is a 2014 model. My two new units are 2017 models. The 2017 models are the ones with the black face. The 2014 model has the black/grey face. Seems Uniden made a slight change over the 3 year span.

I purchased a 536HP from eBay (hey the price was right). It needs to go in for the RTC issue. I noticed tht the back lighting is pretty dim (yes, the display dimmer is set to high). What are the chances that Uniden would fix this as well when the scanner is in for the RTC fix ??

It should be fixed along with the RTC issue.

Hello. I just received my 536HP back from Uniden after the RTC fix. When I sent the radio to Uniden, I enclosed not only a paper asking to check / replace the backlight on the numeric kepad and LCD display. Now that I have the radio back, the backlight looks the same. Do I have to resend the radio back to get Uniden to address the backlight???

When we fix the RTC issue, we also fix the back-light issue. If your back-light looks the same, then you likely were not having an issue with the back-light on your unit (not all units that have the RTC/back-light issues manifest both)

If however you are having an issue with your back-light after the repair, please send me a DM and I will advise you on what do to.
