Possibly just your radio, not actual transmissions.

Looks like images to me as well. These are in the mobile part of the 700 MHz band. I get these frequently on a GRE PSR500.

well perhaps russll, but i get them on three scanners, iam no idiot to not rule out images, ive been doing this a long time now,my point was to offer what i found and maybe others could listen to them and see if they found comms, seems its my mistake making any comments here becuse no one here seems to want to offer positve feed back, always quick to point out every ones flaws.i doubt they are here but after entering them three times,it made me wonder was all, forget it,ill keep my findings to myself from now on. you all can have your forums,

Every post here is filled with positive feedback. Nobody is saying you made a mistake, they are just pointing out the likelihood that these aren't "real" frequencies.

lastreb,

At least offer some more clues so the comments can be more constructive. As others have said here, and is evidenced by posts here (even some by myself) the GRE manufactured scanners do receive images in that portion of the 700MHz band. My problem was occuring in San Antonio and I was hearing the analog conversations of the SA EDACS system, and from my experience on the boards, most people are hearing images from a local EDACS system (and specifically from 793-796MHz in a close call mode). If you do suspect it to be, and it should be P25 voice if it a government funded TRS in Texas these days, program it up as a trunking system (assuming you've heard one frequency that sounds like a data signal) and see if you can get any Site IDs.

No offense intended. I was not aware you were hearing this on multiple radios. These are "usually" images of some type. GREs are especially bad at image reception, but I have heard some (much fewer) on Unidens, as well.. What type of radios are you hearing these on? Do you have other 700 MHZ ops in your area?
