We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

I was wondering if someone could help me verify that there is a 700 MHz system in operation in the OKC area. I am picking up a lot of traffic between the 790 through 795 MHz range. At times I am picking up voice communications between 775 through 779 MHz range. A possible control channel is 793.618750. Has anyone received any communications in this range before? Is there a way to track this 700 MHz system? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

(Note: I am using a RadioShack PRO-107 to scan the 700 Mhz band in the OKC area)

At one time there was a Motorola Passport 700MHz trunking system in the OKC metro, it was owned by one of the local radio shops and they rented out radios on it. Not sure if it's still active or not, but its been a several years since I used it.
