7075khz Digital

So I purchased Wolphi's PSK31 from the Play Store. Tuned to 7075khz then I noticed that wasn't PSK 31 or 63. That was a mode I didn't know about and I thought PSK31 was still big. I havent done any decoding since 2016. What mode is that at this time?

Try 7070 and 7040 USB for PSK.. . You are probably hearing JT65 at 7075. Just a guess. FT8 seems to be the latest favorite trend. Works well with poor HF conditions.

A bit of OLIVIA around that frequency also. PSK is still around but usage is very low.

Likely FT8 between 7074-7076 kHz, JT65 between 7076-7078 kHz

If you see it again, FT8 uses a 15 second cycle. JT65 uses 60 second cycle. Both have a guard interval (silence) at the end of the cycle. JT65 goes quiet starting at 42-45 seconds. FT8 would use something similar like the last 2-3 seconds to be silent.

You must have your computer clock synced within 2-3 seconds of other users or decoding will fail. GPS, NTP, or WWV/B are all adequate.

If it didn't follow the cycle pattern, I'd assume its some other MFSK and would hope I could get it decoded with fldigi
