I just got a mobile 7dbi gain mobile mag mount antenna for 746 to 806 MHz. I bought this one used from someone online who had already put a BNC connection on it. Got it for $30.
I tested this antenna while driving around in TXWARN country in Southeast Texas through Harris , Galveston , and , Brazoria counties and point's North. I must say this antenna is amazing on 700 and 800 MHz sites !
It worked better than my maxrad 5 db 5/8 806 to 896 antenna did. I was well in South Central Houston and still receiving Galveston simulcast full bars on my TRX-1 , and was receiving Houston General TDMA 1 tower located downtown Houston when driving through Texas City almost in GalvestonAntenna

Your maxrad is a 800-900MHz antenna and the new zdacom are a 750-800MHz antenna. Galveston simulcast are on 770MHz.

It's probably important to use an antenna that are designed for the frequencies you want to receive the best.
