996 Memory Wipe

How do you wipe the pre-set memory in the 996..

For a "Hard Reset" (will clear all the settings and memories) : Hold " 2 + 9 + MANUAL " while turning power on.

This works on almost all other unidens im sure it will work on the 996

For the newer scanners that do not have a "Manual" button, substitute "Hold" for "Manual".

In other words, turn the scanner off, then, while holding down the "2", "9" & "Hold" buttons, power it back uo to reset the scanner & clear the memory.

2,9,HOLD and while holding all three, THEN turn unit on....
