I have a 996XT installed in the car and am feeding the external speaker audio out to a DPDT switch so that I can switch back and forth from the car audio system to the internal radio speaker. The wire run is probably less than a foot from the in/out of the radio through the switch. This set-up works great going through the car audio, however when it's directed back to the radio speaker I have to turn the volume up from the normal listening level of "6" to "16" or higher, and then it starts to get distorted. I'm guessing this has something to do with a mis-matched impedance from going through the switch.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
