When I upload my data file to my 996XT using Freescan, it always turns off a few of my systems, leaving them with a "*" on the display and will not scan them unless I manually turn them on. I have a total of 12 systems, and it only does this on system assigned quick keys 10, 11 and 12. I can't seem to see what is set different in the software for these systems compared to the others. The systems that don't work are both conventional and P25 types, so it's not a case of one or the other.

Any suggestions on what to look for in the Freescan program as to why these systems aren't turned on (i.e.- which box do I have checked or don't compared to the other systems.)?

Thanks much for any help!

It's simply not possible to diagnose this with any accuracy unless we see the file. Zip (compress) the file and attach it, then folks can look at it and see what the issue is.

And I will have this moved to the software forum, where it truly belongs...Mike

I would try selecting Tools * System Quick Key Manager and just make sure those QKs have a checkmark beside them. If they do, they will be enabled by default when you upload.
