BCD396XT/BCD996XT: 996XT programming question

Hello all,

I picked up a BCD996XT and was wondering how to load it with the RR files for what I want? I noticed that CSV files are available for download. Do I upload them through another program, such as FreeSCAN?

Since you are a premium subscriber, you can directly download from the RR database into any of the programs available for the 996XT (Freescan, ProScan, ARC XT).

Personally I would very much recommend ProScan. Definitely worth the $50. Both of the paid programs have 30-day free trials, so if I were you I'd try all three and pick the one you prefer (and pay for it if applicable). If Freescan does what you want, great. I used it for my BDC396XT for a couple years, then I discovered ProScan and never looked back.

The BCD996XT is not capable of DMR or NXDN. FreeSCAN will do everything you need and it is FREE!
