• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

For the Nashville folks:

Can you give a list of who Distcrict 1, 2, etc is (titles)?? I was listening the other day while passing through town and the feed on firefeeds.com and it sounds like some of The "District" titles are for fire, and some for EMS. Are the Battalion Chiefs called Battallion #?

Also, I heard some people on the Fire Admin TG giving Dispatch their radio ID numbers. Do certain shift personnel have take-home radios? And if so, do they give their Radio ID number and assignment when they report for duty?

Thanks in advance.

District #s are referring to District Fire Chiefs. EMS District #s refer to... well, you get the picture.
