These are unusual enough that they caught my eye - the first is a loop amp kit (altho the ad is clear that they don't supply everything you need). It's rare to see a kit like this anymore, and might be useful for those folks doing some homebrewing with loops
The next is from MFJ. You create your own wire loop and with the right amount of wire, you could tune 3.5 to 30 Mhz (or so the ad says). This might be a real possibility for portable use or if you are near a major city with lots of MW, FM and TV stuff around. The tuner could add some selectivity to your front end -an important consideration if you're using something like the RTL-SDRv3, Funcube, etc.
