A Question About Bluetooth

I like to listen to the G5 in private. In fact my wife prefers it. Especially close to bed time.
I have a cheap Bluetooth receiver/transmitter with a set of ear buds hooked into it. It connects and receives easily, but to be honest what I am listening to sounds bad. The speaker on the G5 sounds much better.

My question.....Like I said I know I am using a cheap little contraption to use the Bluetooth option. Does anyone out there have a recommendation for a better sounding device that actually works with the G5? I don't want this to be a trial and error thing with different devices. That can get expensive. Or do the more expensive options still sound how should I say......terrible?

I agree that your earbuds are the more likely problem with your low fidelity, not the BT receiver/transmitter.

I apologize in advance if I am overlooking it (I'm sure I am) but after some searching I am not readily seeing discussion of the Unication-branded bluetooth headset found at places like Unication T81G1DHQ65P-R Bluetooth Headset - G-Series. Has anyone here tried this one?

I haven't but I can say as a beta tester, I no longer hear any beeps. Not sure if it is the beta firmware I'm using or if it is a newer G5 (not beta related) that got rid of the beep.

The BlueTooth implementation in the V1.20 firmware (currently in beta) is significantly different, and does eliminate the beeps on several devices that I've tried it with.

Any word on when this beta firmware will be released to the public? If so, I'll probably bite the bullet and buy one if they fixed the Bluetooth issue.

Be sure to turn off blue tooth before you go to sleep. 8 hours of 2.4Ghz exposure to RF that close to your body doesn't bode well in terms of biological effects. Yes, it's documented...
