I am trying to find the i.d or origin ,9 location etc for freq. # 153.6450, somewhere in the conn. river valley of western mass., can anyone help me?

You didn't say what type of agency was using it, but this might be it:

You can use our FCC database search to check other possibilities:

Also, check the Wiki at my website. In addition, there is a database there of confirmed loggings which might contain the info.

While your scanner may have rounded it off...it's not a legit freq...

That won't help. 153.645 is not a valid frequency, which may explain why '42 is having trouble finding it in any database, be it here, the FCC's, or elsewhere. 153.6425 and 153.650 are the two valid frequencies that adjoin the one in question.
