will the motorola type 2 smart zone cedar rapids frequencies work on my pro 95 handhed it has a option to switch from edcas to motorola if i hit the mode button

I answered this it's in the Radio Shack forum. You can get some of the system's TGs but not all as some are digital. It has to be set on 800MHz MOT 2 Standard

I know there are a bunch of scanheads out there in Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, and Quad Cities. They would know a lot more about this system. I have yet to venture out there to visit friends and test out my BC396 on the digial network, since i screwed up the programming for my omaha trip the other day.

You will need to use one of the scanners listed here to listen to the digital tgs (yes they will handle analog comms too). Click on the model of interest to get more information 73s Mike
