Worcester Public Safety Trunking System, Worcester, Massachusetts - Scanner Frequencies

Worcester TRS Information - Scan New England Wiki

Is 460.05 still in use? Is it patched to a EMS channel or talkgroup?

Can the dispatchers hear the FD "direct channel"?

Do the police or EMS have a 800 "direct channel"? Can the dispatchers receive it?

What is the CMED talkgroup used for? Is it patched to 463.075?

Is a 453 Mhz channel still used by Worcester EMS? Is it patched to a TG?

What channel does Worcester LifeFlight use these days?

I may have one answer from my scanner today.

463.075 - PL 186.2 - "CMED, CMED, Worcester Medic 4" - "Saint Annes please" - (maybe St Vincents?) - I didnt hear the CMED operator - there seemed to be lots of scratchyness to the signal

I guess the UHF channels are used to allow mutual aid units to have some connectivity to Worcester units on 800 radios. Otherwise I dont see the need for the UHF patches. Are the UHF channels actually still on the air as of Feb 2011? Peter Sz
