ACARS Reception in Sacramento CA

Setting up an ACARS station here in Sac CA and having touble hearing good data bursts.

I monitored ACARS for 6 years in Greece and copied transmissions from all over Med and Europe so I know about the receiver and the antenna and WACARS vo.7 and a computer.

Looking for any LOCAL factors that could be causing my low hit count here.

LOCAL Sactown ACARS monitor; what is your experience?

Obvious questions - radio and antenna? You're going to hear lots more if you have something outside....73 Mike

Dont use WACARS use ACARSD. WACARS has not been supported in a long time.

Can't tell you much about the variables, but I did try monitoring it about 2 years ago, and never got a single valid response. Never tried it again.

That IS strange.

I wonder if Sac is in a Radio-Free Zone.
