What could be the reason that my ADSB set up seems to have a dead spot only 3 - 4 miles northeast of my location at around 800 - 1000 feet, where Low flying planes consistently vanish off my screen and then reappear, (I can eyeball the planes from my deck). My Flight Aware antenna is outside at 26 feet above ground, no hills or buildings, but a few trees in between. I'm using an AirSpy Mini with PlanePlotter and ADSB Exchange.

What kind of antenna?

Most antennas have "lobes" in their radiation pattern, and will work better when the signal is in one of those lobes. Higher gain antennas have some bigger lobes and some dead spots. Could be what you are experiencing.

I've got the stock "FlightRadar24" setup at one of my sites with their antenna. I'm up about 1000 feet right by the Pacific Ocean. I can regularly pick up aircraft out close to 300 miles. Close in coverage to my north is a bit impacted by terrain.
