After listening to the rollover with ejection call on I-90 this evening, I noticed that Airlift doesn't use the trunked system TG for comms to harborview. I caught them using the Medcomm-1 channel for patient update to ER. Does Airlift not usually use the trunked system TG's? i don't believe I have ever heard them on those. Do they always use the Medcomm-1 channel? Thanks.

I am not sure what they use for base to helo coms, but I know that they have the ability to talk to just about any fire agency from the helo. I talk to them quite a bit on our fire channel, and when you call them they ask for a ground freq, which is usually just the common fire channel unless it is busy so they can talk to the fire apparatus on the ground. . I was thinking of asking a friend of mine what they use for their comms with the helo so I can plug it in, but I am pretty sure its just a VHF/FM freq, unless they are using a air channel. I will see what I can dig up on this, as I am curious about it as well...
