AIRSHIP Sanyo 1 in the area.

Airship 'SANYO 1 ' just contacted Selfridge to request permision to enter the 'Delta' airspace. What is the Delta airspace? How large of an area does Selfridge 'control'?

It was on 120.150

Last heard, it was 1 mile south of Selfridge.

I found this blurb on the internet: St. Baldricks chairity event... SANYO NORTH AMERICA is donating a ride for four in the SANYO BLIMP! The lucky bidder can take their ride from one of many locations across the US and Canada where the blimp is scheduled to be. The SANYO blimp is scheduled to be in DETROIT this year on June 15, 17, 18, 19 and the 22nd

proceeds go to childhood cancer research fund.

I live off of 21 Mile, a half mile east of Romeo Plank and I was in the back yard at 12:30PM and saw Airship Sanyo headed to the northwest. It's been a while since I have seen a blimp. It was neat to see!!

Class B - Generally, that airspace from the surface to 10,000 feet MSL surrounding the nation's busiest airports in terms of IFR operations or passenger enplanements.

Class C - Generally that airspace from the surface to 4,000 feet above the airport elevation (charted in MSQ surrounding those airports that have an operational control tower, are serviced by a radar approach control, and that have a certain number of IFR operations or passenger enplanements.

Class D - Generally, that airspace from the surface to 2,500 feet above the airport elevation (charted in MSQ surrounding those airports that have an operational control tower.

Class E - Generally, if the airspace is not Class A, Class B, Class C, or Class D, and it is controlled airspace, it is Class E airspace.

Class G - (uncontrolled airspace) That airspace not designated as Class A, B, C, D, or E.
