We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

An alert tone has been sounding for the last hour on the LifeFlight freq. Nothing on 121.5 so am I correct to assume this is a software problem from the dispatch center at St. Al's?

Probably a software or console problem. The ELT on Life Flight is a 406 Mhz digital unit, with a homer on 121.5.

I work there, I'll see what I can find out.

Thanks for looking into it. I think it was around 2 or 3am, I heard someone say something about it and a problem with the console was referanced. Nothing major, I was just curious.
