Alinco: Alinco DJ-G7 or DJ-G29 Antenna Connector

Anybody relpaced one on either of these HTs?

Its an SMA but I cannot seem to get the slip ring off around the base of the connector.

There is a sealant in the recess. My normal needle nose pliers trick will not break the nut loose. You need the tool.

You said it! A red tint to it.

So will the x tools from China on eBay fit that recess? Is there an official Alinco tool?

Got the whole radio apart and this was the last step. Stopped me in my tracks!

Having friends in the microwave relay business helps. I borrowed one from his SMA connector tool kit. Didn't see a brand name on it.
