Alinco DJ-X3 question

Just brought a second hand Alinco DJ-X3. I have programmed a few freq's on 2 different banks A/B, when I scan say bank B and it stops scanning on a transmitting channel but it doesn't stay on that channel even though they are still transmitting, it seems to lock onto the transmitting freq for around 5 secs!! then it starts scanning and then stops on the same transmitting channel for 5 secs! Have I missed something out while programming?

All sorted, it was a setting which allows you to either have a 5 sec stop on the transmitting signal or choose busy which stays on the transmitting signal until they stop transmitting.
