My friends & I use UHF DMR here in SE Florida. Every year I visit friends & family in Montreal & would like to know if there is any UHF DMR activity in Montreal. I asked my ham friends from Montreal, & Ottawa, & they've never heard of it. I even contacted RAC [Canadian ARRL] & they've never heard of it. So does anyone in Quebec [Montreal] know if there is any UHF TRBO repeaters in the Montreal area? No one there seems to have heard of DMR, & TRBO. GARY N4KVE

Check the DMARC website. There's a repeater in Quebec somewhere but I'm not sure of its exact location.

Good morning Gary,

Good to hear from you.

YES we have a strong DMR repeater that Covers very well the whole Greater Montreal area. It has a very good coverage for Southwestern part, of Quebec, Northern part of Vermont and New York as well.

The repeater (a Motorola MTR300) is located at my QTH, on Covey Hill.

I can easily trigger the repeater from anywhere in circle of 80 KM around the repeater.

I invite you to take a look at the highlighted information below my signature, it gives you the call sigh and the frequency use for our DMR repeater.

You may also want to take a look at our Club’s website: http://www.ve2cyh.org/

This repeater is also accessible on the NA time slot on the DMR-MARC network. We are linked on our time slot 1 permanently to the NA talkgroup. So even when you are in Montreal, you be connected to the rest of the NA!

Hope this helps Gary.

Do not hesitate to get back to me if you need more infos.
