What do VA BCH ambulances mean when they say:
Code 1 paitent
Code 2 paitent
and so forth..
Thanks.

This is suppose to be "Priority" not "code". My mistake...Navycop said:What do VA BCH ambulances mean when they say:

Stick0413 said:in general its the opposite of Code 1,2,3 on the police side. Priority 1 is most urgent. Priority 3 is the least.
This is correct.stick0413 said:Priority 1 is most urgent. Priority 3 is the least.

Code 1 is lights siren up to 20mph over speed limit.
Code 2 lights only (siren only at controlled intersections).

This is correct.
Code red refers to a cardiac; code gray is DOA.
Also VBPD responces are:
Code 1 is lights siren up to 20mph over speed limit.
Code 2 lights only (siren only at controlled intersections).
Code 3 routine.
Code 4 I would describe this as routine when available.
