Multiple transmissions have been heard in the Troop A and G talkgroups where patches are established and identified as Channels 1-16.
Any insight into this 16-channel patch system?

I’m not sure if it was G or A but I heard the dispatcher say switch to 6, thought I was hearing things til I looked at it but didn’t catch the troop letter

They absolutely number the channels. That's why it's called 1 A DISP 1, 5 G DISP 1, etc.

My apologies, I was thinking of CLMRN as a whole, not a CSP specific radio plan.

CSP has it, on CLMRN, but the rest of CLMRN does not.

Correct I think only despp channels and I believe most of the numbers carried over from the old system.
not to imply that other agencies on there don't have their own numbering scheme for their talk groups

The old system used to number the channels. The new system does not seem to number the channels.
some have changed but its still mostly the same. it can't be changed because salty troopers would complain and it actually kinda makes sense. alot easier to say "switching to channel 7" than something like "switching to troop L dispatch 1"

So here's what I've gathered so far:

Troop A - Dispatch Console 1 "Channel 1"1819251
Troop A - Dispatch Console 2 "Channel 2"1819252
Troop B - Dispatch Console 1 "Channel 3"1819011
Troop B - Dispatch Console 2 "Channel 4"1819012
Troop G - Dispatch Console 1 "Channel 5"65011
Troop G - Dispatch Console 2 "Channel 6"1819331
Troop L - Dispatch Console 1 "Channel 7"1819071
Troop L - Dispatch Console 2 "Channel 8"1819072

Any corrections or additions are greatly appreciated! It would appear that these have changed quite a bit since they were listed on the Smartzone system.

Console IDs have nothing to do with channel numbers.

The way the talkgroups are named in the Zone and On the Console are as follows

1 A DISP 1
2 A DISP 2

So on and so fourth.

So are the consoles being referred to by channel number not the consoles listed?
Consoles have nothing to do with the channels.

The channel is named 7 L DISP 1, in the radio, and on the computer screen of the console.

The name of the channel has nothing to do with radio IDs from the console. They just move the mouse.

So for the listener, does a call all seem to routed to the same ID, even after they've switched to a different channel?
