Analogue digital help , Uniden 3600

back after a 20 year break from listening, my question is , does the uniden ubc 3600 pick up digital and convert it to analogue and vies versa automatically if you get my point, please be gentle with me , I’m 60 and from the last century.

Sorry, but I don't think that's even possible. If it's a digital scanner then it'll receive analog and digital. The digital signals are usually a lot clearer though.

In the keeping it simple category, yes, the ubc3600xlt (which is what I presume you have) does receive both trunked and analog (conventional) signals and allow you to hear them.

Not every type of digital signal can be decoded and you may have to purchase upgrades to the scanner for some of the more common types. P25, which is the most commonly used trunking system here in North America is included in the radio.

Beyond that, I am not familiar with that specific radio.
