Anderson Working Apartment Complex Fire

Anderson Fire Dept. is on the scene of a working structure fire at the Apple Creek Apartment Complex located on the far south side of Anderson near the intersection of 60th & Columbus Ave. A "Mayday" signal was transmitted with the report of a firefighter trapped. The have also requested the Red Cross to the scene to assist with approximately 30 people who will be displaced due to the fire.

The "Mayday" call has been cleared. Everyone is accounted for. It is still a very active scene with the firefighters now operating in a defensive mode and with a ladder / tower unit in place.
