I just completed a table in the Wiki for the ANF numbering. This is using the best and most current info I have, mainly from the WildWeb dispatch pages for the ANF. Since the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument was created several years ago there had been a major reorganization of this NF. There are now only two ranger districts, the National Monument with the district ranger station in Glendora and the L.A. Gateway Ranger District with the district ranger station at Little Tujunga. . The latter covers the Tujunga Creek drainages on the southwest side of the San Gabriels and all of the western portions of the NF west and north of State Highway 14 and east and west of I-5, the old Saugus Ranger District. However, there are 3 divisions in Fire Management. Division 1 is the same as the L.A. Gateway Ranger District, Division 2 is south of the San Gabriel crest and HQed in Glendora. Division 3 is HQed at the Action Work Center (was the Saugus RD ranger station) and covers the National Monument north of the San Gabriel crest.

Station and apparatus numbers have changed. These changes occurred sometime in the last 5 years. I learned of it last year, but this is the first chance I've had to post the info. Anyone who has better station info than I do, please let me know here.

The table is here:

Thanks for the update. The ANF is literally in my back yard.

I knew some people once whose backyard wall was about an inch from one of those "National Forest Land Behind This Sign" metal post and sign. This was in the La Canada area. They had quite a few scares over the years, but the house, built in the 1950's, survived at least until they sold it in 2015.

I'm not sure what you mean by "traffic list."

I will be slowly working my way through all the National Forests in California. The San Bernardino NF has more stations than any other forest in California (USFS Region 5). Outside of Region 5, very few National Forests have stations located away from the District Ranger Station or Office. I'm going to confine my work to Region 5. The northern California forests don't have as many stations away from the District RS and most don't have the number of apparatus and hotshot crews either. The Angeles has 5 hotshot crews, which was the number of ranger districts they used to have up until about 10-15 years ago. The consolidations are all due to ever decreasing budgets.

Fantastic list! Hope to see Los Padres NF in the future.
Thanks for the detail!

This Humboldt-Toiyabe wiki article is seriously out of date. The frequencies are all wrong. I will see if I can approach the dragon of the Wiki (it does breath fire) in order to update it.

I'm in the process of updating the Humboldt-Toiyabe, NV Wiki article. It will be a substantial edit in order to cover the highlights of the information I have. It may take a few days. I will start a new thread in the Nevada forum for this. This HTF discussion is way off topic for this thread.
