I have a HAM question. does that go into the HF forum or is there a more specific section for hams?

Propogation ? Skip/Tropo forum
Off topic question ? The RR Wasteland
Area specific ? Regional forums

I think it is hard to pigeon-hole it into one forum.

Ask in the General Scanning, if we need to move it, we will. Most intelligent people don't waste their time in the wasteland to any great extent, so you will probably get a much better answer from the folks in the General Scanning Forum.

QRZ Forums. Even though it's radio related it's equivalent to asking for help with automotive maintenance and belongs in the Wasteland. In General we sometimes let things slide but unless the topic is more generic radio it should go in the Wasteland or to another site specific forum.
