Another new guy!

First off, WOW what a great site. Thanks for having me. I've been cruising the site for a few days and wanted to say hi. I have a bc75xlt and hoping to get something better down the road.

I'm hoping to find some channels near my house to listen to. I'm in lacombe alberta. So if anyone can steer me towards those channels I'd be grateful. I'm hoping to find the fire department channels as I hope to maybe join the volunteer department in the near future.

Yeah I have programmed the channels I think are for my area now thanks. I've found one for the town next to mine but I hear what sounds like the train company.

Using the search function can be one of the best ways to find interesting stuff. There will always be things that either, no body has found yet, or they're relatively new.

Good to see so many people getting radios though.
