151.1300 Mhz. Heard comms today from Antelope Island. ID's used consisted of "Trail #'s". Reference was made to a TAC-3 earlier in the day. Sounded like folks watching assorted trails and assisting visitors on the Island.

Someone submitted the following note on this frequency after I confirmed and listed the repeater early this year. You seem to be confirming the same information. -Tim

ANTELOPE ISLAND IN DAVIS CO, UTAH USES 151.1300 AS A SECONDARY SYSTEM FOR DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES. EXAMPLES OF THE MANY THINGS ARE, AS A TRAIL WATCH, TALK FROM THE GATES TO THE MARINA, AND ANYTHING ELSE THAT THEY CHOOSE NOT TO AIR ON THE 800MHZ UCAN SYSTEM.

Okay, where was it submitted/listed? I did a search of the RR site, and came back empty. Also, does this mean that the DNR folks are carrying around two (or more) handhelds to carry out their duties? I neglected to see if I was getting a repeater or good skip across the lake.
Also, any clues as to what the TAC-3 freq is?

It was submitted to RR as though it was a new Davis Co. frequency, but instead of having new frequency information it just had a note about usage, and there's no place to list that in the DB. So I just ignored the submission and marked it as worked. The repeater was already listed under Davis Co. and DNR.

I don't know if DNR folks are carrying two sets of radios. Maybe they give the old conventional ones to a different group of employees. I also don't know what you're referring to by TAC-3 since I don't see any DNR TAC frequencies or TGs. -Tim

Before UCAN and 800, This freq was used by UDOT snow plows in Davis.
It was used similar to the SRS freqs.
"Switch over to Antelope"
"Switch over to Shepard"
