Antenna tune

Just installed a Mobil antenna,should this antenna be tuned? It is a receiving antenna only , NMO Mount high frequency antenna, for a SDS100

The best performance will be when its tuned to your operating frequency. A worst case example I've seen is a VHF 5/8 whip tuned to the 146Mhz amateur band being over 10dB down receiving 162MHz weather channels, compared to the same whip tuned to 162Mhz.

Pulse - Larson tri band whip 150-940 MHz. Omni Antenna NMO Mobil

There is no useful tuning you can do on that model. You can only make it shorter and that would raise the resonant frequency on all bands.
