Overpriced piece of PVC pipe with some wire inside. Nothing fancy and not worth what they are charging. Someone disassembled one and it was just some cut copper wire around 1/4 wave length at VHF, UHF and 800MHz.
Will it work? Sure. Any piece of wire will. A coat hanger or paper clip has proven to be a useable antenna.
But you could make one for about $15 bucks.
