Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows when Cuyahoga Falls will be switching over to the Summit system or how the progress is going?
Thanks in advance.

The official word from Cuy Falls Tech Service Divison is .. "soon".
Having a few programming issues to give any exact date.

Cool. Thanks for the update. My PRO-96 has a birdie on one of the Falls 800 mhz channels so I am glad they are changing to Summit's system.

Well i'm not means it will be harder to track them with all those talkgroups on summit system how do i even track the talkgroups without scanning through them.

Just add a second Summit County Network to your set-up .. and program scan lists applicable only to Cuy Falls talkgroups. I currently have Summit - Digital isolated from Summit - Analog in my set-up .. & since I currently have existing Cuy Falls as a system, I just plan on changing the system to a third Summit System and change the talkgroup IDs.

Just my way of doing it .. but it works for me.

I could swear I have not heard any tones for Falls FD since the switch. I did a little audio recording tonight and have at least one run the was dispatched w/o tones at the beginning.

Has anyone else heard the lack of FD tones for Falls?

I'll record overnight and see what I get in the morning.

I'm getting the tones .. Uniden 396 and 996 models.
Tone types are the same as before .. long tone for EMS & still alarms,
high / low tone for structure fires.

Falls does it the opposite way from say Columbus. Columbus uses the long (short, actually) tone for Fire runs and the hi-low tones for EMS runs. It takes a while to get used to the differences in how different agencies dispatch.

Kind of surprised that there are not more talkgroups for the PD/FD (i.e. Narcotics, supervisor channels, etc.) since the switch. Wonder if they plan to add more or is it a finished product?
