Anyone hear anything about any possible progress on someone even trying to come up with a radio?
Or getting close to a scanner that would work on the new Loudon system? Is it possible
Or is it not going to happen? Thanks

Until a true Phase 2 standard is adopted, there's no chance in hxxx that a scanner manufacturer is even going to think about developing a solution for it; and even then, it will take quite a while to release it to the market IF it's ever released at all.

best regards...Mike

Nothing coming. I notice the DB indicates that most of the TGs can be heard anyways, it's just some that use Phase II. I'm curious which ones are not monitorable?

Thanks for the reply, I have a RS digital and it was recieving fine until the change, I get nothing now.
I guess the one's that are hearing some TG's reprogrmaed some additional freq's or TG's into thier radios?

You probably need to reprogram the freqs and the TG's to match the database.

Also, due to the new modulation type and multi-path issues, you will notice degraded audio if you are in line-of-site to more than one of the tower locations (which is most places in the county.)

You should be hearing something so I would try reprograming as c5corvett suggests. I still hear lots of Loudoun traffic on my Uniden 996XT. The Loudoun TDMA system is complicated to explain (and others do a better job explaining it) but because there are still enough older radios out there used by various Public Safety organizations, you are still able to hear the majority of the Loudoun County Sheriff and Fire traffic.
