I wasn't listening at all, so I dunno. Was it Folsom PD, or the Sheriff's Dept. chasing?

I've got the scanners scanning now, so if I hear anything, I'll post up.

Yeah, it's definitely over. Just heard two Folsom PD units talking on Tac1 about retracing the pursuit to get the odometer reading (length of pursuit) and all of the street names, so they could write the pursuit report.

Folsom is rarely involved in pursuits, so it is likely this is the same one. And for them to be writing the report (other than the CHP 187 form), means that they likely were primary (either because they initiated it, or it entered their city).

A Sgt. is headed to the hospital as well...probably related.

*EDIT* Sounds like there was a K9 bite which sent bad guy to hospital, and CSI will be taking photos of.

Folsom initiated, SSD took over because it was just a solo Folsom unit. Nothing to eventful.

A woman leaving work at the Folsom outlet malls was beaten with a beer bottle Tuesday night, but the thieves who stole her car were arrested after a high-speed chase that ended in Rancho Cordova, authorities said.

According to a statement from the Folsom Police Department:

The victim, a Folsom resident in her 40s, was leaving the Bombay Outlet on Folsom Boulevard about 7:30 p.m. when she was approached by Heather Ogden and hit in the face and head with a bottle.

Ogden, 21, of Antelope stole the woman's purse and took off in the woman's 2004 yellow Mustang.

Police spotted the vehicle and chased Ogden and her passenger, Daniel Curasi, into Rancho Cordova.

At Los Palos Drive and Las Casas Way, Ogden lost control and the Mustang hit a tree. Ogden and Curasi tried to run, but a canine until was used to take Ogden and Curasi, 29, of Citrus Heights, into custody.

Ogden and Curasi were arrested on suspicion of car theft, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest. Additionally, Ogden faces charges of robbery, evading an officer and assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim was treated for head injuries at Mercy Folsom and released.
