I've been trying for sometime (unsuccessfully) to hear OSP Portables. I've have several of their freqencies entered in my 396. (including the Xmit side of MARCS and 700 Mhz freqs. listed here in the Database)
So far, no luck. I've been in close proximity to them while they were out of their cars, talking.... ex: backed up in traffic due to an accident on the highway.
The Motor Carriers still use the old UHF MRE's here, but not OSP.
While I understand certain parts of Ohio are rated for "portable to tower coverage," I havent heard any Troops hitting the xmit side of MARCS, which leads me to believe they are using MRE's over here in District 5.
Anyone had any luck hearing what frequencies the Troops are transmitting on via portable?
Thanks!
