Anyone here using the new GRE digital scanner??

How do y'all have the AWIN system set up? Just wanted to trade ideas and see how others approach this task.

I just got mine today and will begin programming it tonite......listening to Memphis PD right now.....imported a .p96 file.

This thing blows the Pro 96 away.

Now I gotta sneak this thing in the house past the old lady........

I will be getting one soon. I haven't decided how I am going to do it. I know I'll be using programming software. Are you using software?

I have been using Win500 so far.....glad that Don added the copy/paste feature.....saves alotta typing in freqs and alpha tags.

I have used both Win500 and PSREdit ....they both have plusses and minuses.....the biggest thing is the copy/paste. I set up my data in Excel and copy/paste it into Win500.

So far I have set up TSYSs for Troop D & C..... I entered the troop specific TGIDs first and then the statewide TGIDs next......altho will be copied from one to the other. Next will be any county specific TGIDs for the counties in each troop.

Could you possibly shed some light on the statewide TGIDs and how they work......

Should I hear an EMS call from Troop J in Troop D?
How abouut ADEM and MAC Call channels?

This is my first jump into AWIN......i have a lot to learn....may as well learn from an ASP dispatcher

She smokes.....1 pack a day...365 x $3.25 = $1186.00....

$1186 - $517 = $669 .......the way I figure it I can buy the PSR 600 (for my van) when it comes out and buy the software key for Win500 & PSREdit ......and still come out cheaper than if I smoked.


She didn't say too much last nite......

I saved up the money from travel expense checks I got back from travelling outta town for work.
