• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Anyone know about a new Pima Freq?

Hello. That frq. is used in Or. Co., Calif. too, something to do with waste water, not certain. You only hear hydrologic telemetry data, and it's repeated on 409.725 MHz. This may be how they will use it in Pima.

Storm weather relay info???

Could these be the water meter measuring stations that transmit water flow data from the streams from Mt Lemmon and the Catalinas to City of Tucson & Pima County ?? Local news ran a story about these "new" measuring stations to help city and county plan for flooding during the monsoons.

RTK frequency for county surveyors.
Actually I just said that for wishful thinking, when I'm at work surveying the freaking county surveyors are always on our frequency causing a lot of headache.
